This harness, designed specifi cally for the oil and gas industry, offers unique features to accommodate the fall pro- tection needs of workers on drilling or service rigs and in oil fi elds. Built strong for day-to-day wear and tear, this harness features an 18 inch extended back D-ring that provides an easy-to- reach attachment point for fall arrest and frees up the back D-ring for use as an additional connection point for fall arrest or rescue. The Miller AirCore Oil & Gas Harness is available with a seat sling, bos'n chair, or without a seat attachment to meet the exact needs of workers in the oil and gas industry. The harness also features custom- ized lumbar padding for greater comfort and support; an improved cam buckle design; removable belt with leather guide for increased functionality, comfort and durability; lower rear lumbar D-ring that provides a restraint attachment point when needed; and an oversized ID tag for quick and easy harness size identifi cation. The harness meets OSHA 1926.502, ANSI A10.32, ANSI Z359.1 and CSA Z259.10-12 requirements. www.millerfallprotection.com. COTTON, TENCEL BLEND FR Mount Vernon FR has announced its newest innovation in the fl ame resistant fabric industry, AMTEX TC. Currently offered in 7.9-ounce and 8.4-ounce twill, AMTEX TC fabrics are a collection of cotton and Tencel blends that increase both comfort and durability without sac- rifi cing the protection demands of the FR industry, says the manufacturer. One of the primary fi bres in AMTEX TC fabrics, Tencel, is a cellulosic fi bre similar to cotton, but with added strength to create protective fabrics that withstand tough jobs. Despite their strength, AMTEX TC fabrics feel lighter than they actually are, which enhances the comfort of garments made with the fabric. Enhanced comfort increases the probability workers will wear garments correctly, and reduces risk of injury due to improper wear, says Mount Vernon FR. AMTEX TC fabrics meet the standards for NFPA 70E, ASTM F1506 and NFPA 2112. www.mvmfr.com. TWIST-IN EARPLUGS Like a fi ngerprint, no two ear canals are alike. Moldex's Glide Foam Twist in Earplugs feature a unique multi-curved stem that rotates for a custom fi t inside each ear canal. With its unique curved stem design, you simply push and twist for the earplug to angle its way to fi nd your fi t, says the manufacturer. The large handle on the curved stem allows for easy insertion and removal. The "no roll" style is hygienic and convenient to use. The PVC-free earplugs come with a cord that can be attached at any desired length. www.moldex.com. ERGONOMIC PAIL LIFT The Pail Partner lifter and transporter from Lift'n Buddy prevents back strain from lifting and transporting heavy fi ve-gallon pails. The Pail Partner's special yoke securely holds a plastic or metal pail just below its rigid collar. The yoke can be easily raised or low- ered as necessary to conveniently pick up stacks of up to three pails, add to or take from a stack, wheel the stack to another location, and place the pails on a fl oor, shelf or tailgate. The ergo- nomic unit has a battery-powered lift that adjusts to the appropriate height to pick and place pails. Whether in a paint store, a manufacturing plant or a distribution centre, its stable, four- wheel counterbalanced design makes it easy to move pails to and from racks, pallets, countertops, paint tinters and shakers, delivery trucks and customer vehicles without interference from straddle legs found on most small powered stackers, says the manufacturer. The Pail Part- ner requires no more room to operate than an ordinary two-wheel hand truck and can turn a complete circle within its footprint. A pushbutton linear actuator ensures smooth lifting and lowering of the unit's yoke/platform to minimize bending and stretching. The Pail Partner can carry loads of up to 200 pounds and place them on surfaces up to 35 inches high. www.liftnbuddy.com HEATED SAFETY STATION In areas where electricity is available, heat-traced safety stations provide excellent protection against freezing. Guardian's CFR3100 Heated Safety Station with Eye- wash, Top Inlet units are heated by self-limiting heat tracing cable wrapped around internal pipe. A thermo- stat regulates heating. Units are insulated and jacketed for protection against weather. Since units are intended for use in cold weather conditions, consideration should be given to supplying unit with tempered water in accor- dance with ANSI Z358.1-2009. The eyewash valve and shower valves are made with brass stay-open ball valves. The eyewash valve has half-inch NPT female drain port to permit water to drain from spray heads after use. The freeze-resistant spray head assembly incorporates fl oat off dust covers and internal fl ow control. The unit has a UV-resistant orange ABS plastic jacket with remov- able polyethylene foam insulation. Jacket sections are secured with removable stainless steel screws for easy maintenance. http://www.gesafety.com.
