SGI (Saskatchewan Government Insurance) was created in 1945 and has evolved into two distinct operations. The Auto Fund is the compulsory auto insurance program, operating Saskatchewan's driver licensing and vehicle registration system. SGI CANADA is the trade name of the property and casualty insurance division.
