AS EDITOR of Canadian Occupational Safety, I would like to thank everyone who
attended the 10th annual edition of Canada's Safest Employers Awards.
For a decade now, the CSE Awards have been the premier independent awards
event for the nation's occupational health and safety profession. Marking its 10th
anniversary, Canada's Safest Employers Awards champion the outstanding
employers in key industries from across Canada for their achievements, leadership
and innovation in health and safety over the past 12 months.
This year, we have a portfolio of 21 prestigious categories — our most ever! — and
we streamlined our nomination process so as to widen our reach. We worked hard to
adapt to this "new normal" and bring you an exciting virtual ceremony that combines
the glitz and glamour of previous years with new, innovative panel sessions led by
our expert nominees.
It's no exaggeration to say that it's been a difficult year for all of us. Now more than
ever, it is important to come together and celebrate the OHS community. We
wholeheartedly thank you for joining us and hope that you enjoyed the virtual
