In operation, a worker simply drives the ROPAX Mobile up to the end of an open-top container and deploys a two-ton rolling drum mounted on an articulating boom that moves from one end of the container and back, crushing contents as it goes. Because operators can view the compaction process, they can determine how many crushing cycles are necessary before moving to the next container. The ROPAX Mobile is extremely maneuverable and is narrower than the containers it services, allowing it to operate in congested or confined spaces. For operator comfort and safety, the cab is fully enclosed with available climate control. Forward and reverse travel is controlled by a joystick and steering is via conventional steering wheel. An ergonomically designed instrument panel puts all compaction controls, including an emergency e-stop, within easy reach. It provides effective compaction of a wide variety of items including cardboard and other packaging, wood pallets and crates, cable reels, paper, film and foil, green waste, encapsulated polystyrene, household goods, light metals and other bulky items. Six-cylinder engine Hydraulic hose Reliable JOHN DEERE DOZERS ENHANCE PRODUCTIVITY AND COMFORT MACHINERY manufacturer John Deere is releasing two new dozers, the 700L and 750L. They will assist users in helping improve productivity, reliability and operator comfort. The updated models include an improved operator station, more power levels, low-effort electrohydraulic (EH) controls as well as a host of factory grade control solutions. "When developing the 700L and 750L, we leveraged feedback from contractors around the world. These next-generation dozers are the most productive, reliable and easiest to operate yet," said Nathan Horstman, product marketing manager, crawlers, John Deere Construction & Forestry. The 700L and 750L deliver more power than the previous K-Series models, with 135 horsepower (101 kW) and 175 horsepower (131 kW), respectively. Both dozers are equipped with a six-cylinder, 6.8-litre John Deere engine. The 750L operating weight is increased by 750 pounds, which helps provide more tractive effort as well as better balance to improve machine performance. Additionally, the dozers are available with new, wider blade options, which includes a 161-inch option. Integrated spill sheets on the 700L machine further increase blade capacity. Furthermore, both dozers can be equipped with a new factory-installed slope control offering. The new operator station is spacious and easy to access and offers better visibility to the blade. The EH controls have been designed to reduce operator fatigue and allow for better grade control installation in the field. Other options include a heated and ventilated seat, rear camera and automatic temperature control. A new, 7-inch color monitor can interchange to show grade control information as well. Both models additionally offer lower cabin sound levels for increased operator comfort. To increase uptime, the dozers have optimized hydraulic hose and electrical harness routings to reduce the possibility of rub points. Additionally, hydraulic and hydrostatic oil change intervals are extended to 4,000 hours, reducing operating cost.
