The 65-gallon wheeled spill kit offers all the highly-absorbent materi- als needed to tackle oil, chemical or universal spills — all in a sturdy and secure container. The trash-bin style also allows for easy portability and reusability, and keeps the kit at an economical price point. With the capacity to absorb 63 gallons, the kit is ideal for large spills or a variety of smaller spills throughout a facility. It contains 100 pads, seven SOCs, seven pillows, fi ve disposable bags, one pair of goggles, one pair of nitrile gloves and one emergency response guide book. With the absorbents all in one place, the worker is ready to respond to spills of any size quickly and effi - ciently, says the manufacturer. The kits are available in oil only, chemical and universal absorbent options. www.bradycanada.ca ABSORBENT MAT PIG Grippy Mat is a revolutionary absorbent mat with a one-of-a-kind adhesive bottom that stays put, no matter what, according to the manu- facturer. It soaks up leaks, drips and overspray without bunching up, curl- ing or sliding, and peels up easily without leaving residue. The mat is tough enough for high-traffi c work areas, walkways and anywhere slip- pery fl oors are a problem. It has been tested and certifi ed by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) as a high- traction surface which can reduce slip and fall claims by as much as 90 per cent when used as part of a fl oor safety program, says PIG. Durable and absor- bent, the mat absorbs oils, coolants, solvents and water. A poly backing creates an additional barrier to prevent absorbed liquids from passing through to the fl oor. To enhance absorption and retention of liquids, PIG Grippy Mat features a spunbond top layer with heavy-duty stitching and eight layers of fi ne-fi bre polypropylene. www.newpig.com PARTICLE PROTECTION The KleenGuard A40 Liquid & Particle Protection Apparel by Kimberly-Clark Professional with breathable back protects workers against splashes and grime, while releasing body heat to keep the wearer cooler and more comfortable than traditional apparel. The innovative, lightweight dispos- able coverall has a front made from microporous fi lm laminate material that provides an excellent liquid bar- rier, says the manufacturer. The back is made with highly breathable material that releases body heat to keep work- ers cooler and more comfortable while they work. www.kcprofessional.com ADVERTISERS' DIRECTORY EMERGENCY EYEWASH AND SHOWERS COUNTER MOUNTED The Guardian G1849 is one of many different AutoFlow eyewashes offered by the manufacturer. This deck mounted eyewash is for counter mounting. Spray heads swing down from storage to operational position, activating water fl ow. The G1849 is available in a variety of spray head confi gurations to minimize obstruc- tions at a sink. Each spray head has a fl ip-top dust cover, internal fl ow control and fi lter to remove impuri- ties from the water fl ow. The valve is installed in Type 316 stainless steel housing. The unit is constructed of polished chrome-plated brass. All Guardian AutoFlow eyewashes are available with customizable arm length to meet any sink size. AutoFlow units are available in all 316 stainless steel construction and may also be powder-coated to withstand even the harshest environments. www.gesafety.com STAINLESS STEEL HALO Bradley's Halo eye/face wash system is now available in stainless steel. Stain- less steel safety fi xtures are suited for highly corrosive environments, such as petrochemical plants, oil refi neries or any harsh environment where haz- ardous chemicals are present. A large variety of preconfi gured stainless steel models are available including wall- mount, pedestal and combination units, as well as barrier-free models. Using the latest technology in fl uid dynamics, Halo covers 85 per cent of the user's face, which is more than 20 per cent better protection than any other eye/face wash model on the market, according to the manufacturer. Halo incorporates a self-draining fea- ture, which eliminates standing water left in the unit between uses and test- ing. The integral strainer inside the draining system further reduces debris in the water for additional eye protec- tion and also prevents clogging. The strainer is easy to remove and clean during routine testing. New and enhanced dust covers provide added protection and keep units clean and ready for emergency situations. When the cover is opened — using a new ergonomic hand-activation paddle that is easy to reach from any direction — water fl ow starts immediately. The dust cover's clear translucent yellow design allows for easy inspection. New dust cover caps are hinged for secure hold. www.bradleycorp.com/halo OHS PRODUCTS FR PARKA Carhartt's Flame-Resistant Extremes Arctic Parka is available as of July 2014.
